I bet you can pay for mods and skins tho. What happened to 'were not going to ignore the players anymore', their literally ignoring the players and waiting to the last possible second to throw anything out there on the weekend. It's completely a copy paste.
I refuse to acknowledge palword as a game in the same genre as ase/asa.
the moment they announced ASA amidst their development, if there really is any, with ARK 2, i knew there and then that itll be nothing but downfall. accepted the fact that they really dont care about their own community, they see us nothing but cash cows.
Also 7 days to die is getting a loooot better
I'm going to call it now: the Ark Survival game(s) is/are going to be purchased by a larger, more stable studio after the companies run out of cash, probably by the end of 2024. Snail and Wildcard may not survive at all, but the game will be owned by someone like Microsoft that can support it long term.
Snail totally ruined ARK. The Snail CEO funneled money out of wildcard to line his pockets failing at everything he did all while giving Wildcard nothing to work with and demanding they do things that would kill the game. It's sad, Wildcard had their problems as a studio but I'm 100% certain Shi Hai is the reason they're failing.
12k hrs in game, havent played since steamboat willie released. Does anyone else see ark turning into something like roblox where you play fan made paid maps and buy something like arkbux (or some other in game currency) to get skins and dlc
As someone who had 6,000 hours in Ark I am not paying again for a game I already own just for some shiny new graphics. Ark devs can go to hell……

I called this day 1. The moment they got greedy with the UE5 update, their fate was sealed. They're a garbage company and deserve to be punished for what they did. They've done NOTHING for years, even in Vanilla ARK. Same bugs from Day1 exist in ASA. That's unacceptable.
Ive been here before and said it many times over the years. My issue with them is their complete disrespect for the player base in particular the PVE side. Next is their incompetence regarding running the game.. Probably the greatest game out there. They don't even really care what they have or they would put the effort in. Until one of the major players like microsoft/sony etc start to throw their weight around they do not deal with anything. No game online runs perfect. We all know that.
I have said for a while now that the money transaction side similar to Fortnite needed to be added. People would eat that shit up. Charge a small fee for the none canon maps to feed innovation and the mods. Who create them. But i do agree with you and comes down to my first point. Until either someone else (competent) takes over Ark or they are forced to they won't spend the money wisely. They won't fix the game or produce more things.
They always struck me as a group of people that got handed a game. Those people are into PVP and largely only are interested in playing that and only listen to them. Whinging. They are the ultimate Talk to the hand group.
Some of my tribemates from ASE have been wanting me to get ASA. I have a pc that will run it. But sorry not bothering till perhaps Scorch comes out. Im currently enjoying Palworld. .Not stepped on Ark for a month or more. Not interested in the Island. If i want to and do often in the past go back to basics and restart. It isn't on the Island.
The devs really pissed me off the last few months of Playing on official ASE. When we put a ticket in about a big base that had specifically surrounded our 8 + 8 base for doing getting boss items on Crystal Isles. This base had not only pillared all across the crystal zone but had also fenced off a spawn zone. What did the devs do. They zoinked our base and when i made a comment on the website they put me in the naughty corner. Sorry that shiz is wrong. Its not the first time ive seen their complete disrespect and pandering to bigger tribes. Some of these tribes being ones that sell for money. Cause that is something ive heard about them. Bit of dipping their hands in the buy for cash market.
I haven’t touched the game since a month it released on Xbox because of the save issue. They’re killing their own game by not supporting the player base, and they can’t blame anyone but themselves. The Island is the worst map, I’m so looking forward to Scorched Earth but now I’m not sure if I will ever see it

I find it fitting that you had a clip of an Ark player hitting tree's to get resources until they die, for that very much feels like what Snail Games and Studio Wildcard are doing to the Ark franchise right now, hitting it to get money until they themselves die.
It's dead because it is just a Reskin of the original game , with even more problems than the original 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 so happy I stopped playing Ark 18 months ago and didn't waste my money on the reskin version
hahaha 1 thing i find funny u didnt mention. the game launched with 1 price, 1 week later they did a stealth price increase. ive just looked the game is now up to 70 bucks in aus like wtf the price keeps going up but nothing new is being added hahaha this is a huge rip off.
ase is still alive while asa is dying due to its just an overpriced dlc for ase not a game itself!!!! plus from what ive read over the years specifically recently the devs dont care what the populace/players want or need!!!!

Actually I think THIS is why ark is dying. It's the communities collective inability to have their own thoughts. They turn to YouTube and forums for E V E R Y T H I N G! Everyone on pvp? Doing whatever YouTube and streamers say is meta. PvE? Playing on streamers and YouTubers servers or through their discord. Yeah people will have the odd favorite dinosaur. But even most of them don't ever USE the non meta dinos.
So how does this relate to my claim? Well buckle in this might get bumpy. That same mentality has you turn to videos like this. There's dozens and all have the same negative messages. Ark is dying! So what pray tell, do you think that means the player base is going to think? Exactly, the same thing they always think, whatever the internet told them to think! (Gasp!)
Fact is, ascended plays legitimately leagues better than evolved does on my PS5. And yes I have to lower the settings, but even lower settings on this shiny ass beast is incredibly vivid. I also get actually use fucking mods which I'm getting angry you people are trying to strip me of. Words can't describe the sheer gutteral joy I felt using a super spyglass for the first time. Seeing a heliocoprion in my single player mode knowing how nuts some content can be solo just brought a tear to my blueprint farm hating eyes. I can make my own pings!?!?! I can TRACK MY FUCKING DINOSAURS NOW? (slams my face into the screenshot of my idiot argentavis who can't run away from me now even if it ignorantly tries) YES PLEASE! Yet what do I see everywhere online?

Kinda of a let down . But it's Ark no surprise everything they do is delayed or postponed. I just got back on Ark cryo pods are a pain because u need a cryo fridge near by to use them .

I agree dude. Don’t get me wrong I love ark and I’ve played it for many years but it seems like every month they get worse. Like my honest opinion is they have the worst communication hands down of any company and they have the worst dev team. I mean look at all these games that have low budgets and are properly optimized. And to top it all off they literally have never ever hit a deadline they start off with. Ever
So I agree they are dying and if they don’t turn it around soon it’ll be dead. And I would hate to see it
There is one thing that still keeps me around with ase, its the crossplay availability, most of my friends i play with are all console, but them not delivering the maps they promise us is getting old driving us away because we can only stand a single map for so long. Just want more useable maps to play and explore with my friends again
