Ngl from my point of view the game would be too boring to just play pvp year in year out so hopefully they wont do that
ARK 2 will either be a total failure or a total success, I reckon. They should just keep true to what it FEELS like to play ARK, whether it be PVP or PVE. The game should feel like you're scraping by and just trying to survive and thrive, against difficult PVE Dinos, and/or against toxic PVP players. It's just how the game should be. This is assuming it's not buggy as hell

I’m a huge pvp fan and a pve fan, I’ve gotten quite good at pvp and can quite easily get alpha on solo servers, but I also love pve, it’s just really good how you can just tame things whenever you want, build where ever you want, and play with who ever you want, I wouldn’t mind if ark was a pve only game but I really really hope it isn’t.

I'm watching the video as I'm writing this…. Great points. I am not a big PVPer only because I am one of those people who don't have the luck of getting into a tribe of people who are dedicated or have lots of time on their hands. I have the same feeling of being in the dark on anything so far with Ark 2. One thought came to mind and I'm not sure if this would even work but do you think they would ever bring factions into Ark 2? For example, the natives of the land versus the crashed survivors? Or even different races. Maybe I'm trying to revive my Everquest or WoW days. This could make for an interesting twist to the Ark universe.

I think they should have focused more on reviving / increasing the longevity of ARK 1 rather than moving to a new game. Most of the loyal community couldnt care less about the story gameplay, especially for the pvp players. Should of just fixed the bugs, taken on board more advice so it didnt entirely move to unofficial. I do think that they will focus mostly on pve for the reasons you said. They wont ignore it but I think the pvp will be trash, im ok with the mechanics for pvp in ark 1… dont change it.
