Imagining Ark 2 In Unreal Engine 5.1 – The Island

Greetings Survivors !

The success of the first video made me roll up my sleeves and face a new challenge : porting the original The Island into Unreal Engine 5 !

Of course, only a very small portion of this huge map was worked on. I’ll let Wildcard do the rest 😉

Wildcard, this one’s for you !!

All assets (except grass) are Nanite and lighting is handled by Lumen.

Assets used :

Ark Devit

Tropical Forest :

Brushify Grasslands Pack :

Ultra Dynamic Sky :

Quixel Megascans

Rendered on my Intel I5 12400, RTX 3060 with 32Gb RAM @30-40 FPS with DLSS 2.0 activated.

  1. Is it just me or are the sound ques off a little, like when he was running in the water and sand and splash were playing at the same time, as pretty as it is I hope wildcard dose a little more than this. Don't pull an overwatch 2 on us.

  2. Anybody know how to turn your graphics to that less high level so my PS4 don't crash as much? I think I've heard something bout you have to change it in single player or something and it then applies to your online gameplay but when I changed it it didn't stay for online 🤷🏻‍♂️
Edit: ik this isn't a video for how to get shittier graphics but I figure someone's gotta know how to fix PS4 settings to get those low level graphics you see YouTubers use to not crash when raiding and whatnot sorry if it annoys anybody but I'm so tired of lag and disconnecting at the absolute worst times 🤣
