Like I said before IMO ark 2 will be a dlc for ASA🙂↔️ and they will bring stuff slowly on what they got planned to Ark 2 to ASA.

Optimization is the only thing that i can understand about why players on steam are playing ase but that will change soon with ue 5.4 update. In every other way asa is better.
If they would release the maps just a little quicker more people would play. Ragnarok, Abberation, we ant the fun maps to play. The center and scorched is full of toxic rathole players. Game isn’t the same anymore
I have a 4080 and it runs the game pretty good just not great on its highest settings so there is already gpus just broke people.
You know i support and love your content, but your thinking, along with so many other creators on one topic is so flawed! You guys keep saying ASA is dying and ASE is more popular, but your sole basis in that is Steam…ASA is on both Xbox and PS5 and you guys have NO clue how many players on those are playing it. While PC players may not have the equipment to run ASA, for most console players, the game runs and is graphically similar to many or most other console titles, so they are playing it on there. If we were privy to the console numbers, I’m betting ASA is way more than double what ASE has. ASA has mods for the consoles as well built in, so that’s a huge plus for them as many games don’t have mod support on consoles!
Using Steam numbers only to justify positions on games that are on multiple platforms is pretty flawed. Just saying.

are you kidding me? Battle pass is the most predatory system in all of video gaming, and you are suggesting to put a pass PER MAP? I hope this was a joke?! If they looked at the mods and made sure they passed certain standards, before they can be offered as a premium mod, I'd be okay with that. Right now I can decide if I want that Mod or not. With a Battlepass you are constantly reminded that your missing out on all this premium Stuff, since you do not have the Pass, and if I don't complete it, I will be reminded, to buy a new one, which in return forces me to keep playing (psychologically). Keep the Battlepass out of ARK, that's NOT what this game was about, and I am SURE the Community is going to see it similarly. I am sorry, Teach, I love your content, but this video has me fuming.

I'm guessing that the majority of the remaining ASA players are actually on console, because mods are finally available to that crowd.
I have a 2060 and run ASA just fine! Does it look as amazing as if I had a 4080 or so? Nope. But it looks good. So no, you don't need a "literal" UFO to play the game!
Seriously suggesting an Ark battle pass?! Unsubscribed. I would stop playing and it’s my most played game ever by thousands of hours. I only play single player. Keep this unimmersive garbage out of the most immersive survival game ever made. No one cares about power rangers mods. I would pay to not add that
I love ya man but you don't half talk crap at times. The content of ONE map is pretty much equal to the content that most other games have. Two maps is exceeding all other games and ASA now has three. Also there are quite a few free and premium maps out there to play with and a whole ton of mods to make the game as varied or completely different as you wish and it ain't even a year old yet. Steam is far, far from the full picture. I play on official PVE and for every steam player there are often 4-6 console players and when you go to unofficial PVE clusters you will again see loads and loads of console players.

Another thing does anyone believe there are 900k people with power ranger mod an only 9k players. The number don`t add up.
I can see good and bad both ways. For those people who think they have to have something new every 6 weeks, this system seems to be working, but I'm not sure I think it's necessary to get every single download available. I didn't with ASE and I probably wouldn't with ASA.
It still makes me a little hostile that after buying the entirety of this game 3 times for myself and friends, ASA is a whole new purchase with no nod to long time supporters, not to mention the system requirements they wouldn't even release before they were ready to release the new version. How were we supposed to plan for that? It will take ma a minimum for 2 years to get just 1 of the 3 computers I'd need to upgrade up to par with what is needed. (yes, that's probably a personal problem, but a lot of people are in the same boat with me)
So let's do some simple math. No I didn't expect my computer to last forever without upgrades and I did build it to be capable of being upgraded, but at a minimum, $120 for ASE with both season passes, Plus another $120 for ASA, then another $1200 per computer to be able to play ASA, means $4500 to upgrade my household. FOR ONE GAME!
Yes, I think modders deserve to get paid for quality releases, but at the same time, I don't deserve to get wallet raided every time another mod is released. At some point, it becomes how much is too much?
i think there are more players than there seems ! Console players do not show up on steam. I am the only pc player on my servers!
Realistically, the only reason they have the split player base is they didn't fully shut down ASE. To me as a player ASA is ASE with better graphics and smoother build mechanics. Granted I play on PS5 on fiber internet so I have not experienced and major issues and to avoid the continued cash grab I don't pay for mods and the like.
I only play ASA because its smaller on my hdd/ssd , but if i knew it had paid dlc's for a game thats not cheap or free i wouldnt have bought it. i run the game on lower settings though

Ark is so limited on stuff to do. It gets boring quick.
My computer is 5950x with a flashed 3090fe using rebar with 128GB of ddr4 3600 with CL15 and ASA runs fine for me at 3840 x 1600. I do a lot of LLM work on this computer, But I run everything maxed minus motion blur is off!
I have a 7800XT and get 331 FPS(outside of caves) inside of caves it seems like it's capped to 60 FPS.
Couple points your only seeing partial info steam dosnt show console or other launchers, console now has mods so more console players are going to play asa over ase why new content, 2nd if you go look at most games with season pass ppl hate it because its so predatory they want the old days where addons and skins were 5$ to 10$ not like they are now wher they are 20$ to 80$ depending on the game sure ase is bigger on pc makes since nothing has changed for you all console on the other hand huge improvements across the board and we get to have the journey across the arks in real time again with new content thats awsome maybe you have forgot the friends you made across the first time playing arcross the arks but those of us on asa get to do that again its about the journey and good times, i like the monetization they have right now if i dont like something i dont buy it the things i do like i believe they are fairly priced, you got a season pass with bobs you like it 30$ you dont like it dont buy it simple as that stop asking for more battle passes do i think making asa was the right choice in some ways no in others yes i quit playing years ago after valg and only came back about 3 months ago because of the new game and mods
