It's weird that Jeremy said that the remaster will be free and now we have to pay for everything again including the DLCS.
What also worries me is that they have decided not to show gameplay and footage this whole year
Do you think ASA will have its own achievements as it's a separate game from ark 1?

Initially I am disappointed, but then I remember that this could all change anyway! IF we get what they have stated this time then I just hope the UE5 version feels more like a new game – not the same bugs, better optimization, working game systems – and not just the same game on a new engine. They really missed a trick with showing us something from the UE5 version here to soften the blow, right now all we have is a WC statement and tbh that does not mean much these days it seems 😢
As for the Animated series… They really need to stop putting dates on things and overstating what they will deliver. The roadmap was meant to be a comprehensive update on the whole franchise, this was not that.
Love the devs, but WC as a company really dropped the ball with this saga of mis-information and bad comms
Red Flags:
1. Another Year delay, after multiple delays, and refusal to show any gameplay. But please preorder, along with ASA…
2. Packaging UE5 Update as brand new game, thats not brand new at all, after saying update would be free.
3. Not including DLC in rebuy, and also making us wait for them, like before.
4. Paid mods. Bethesda tried this, and thankfully it never took off. This is just a money grab under the guise of being virtuous to modders.
5. Shutting down support for original game, but how long will they support ASA, after Ark 2?
Not only they're doing all of this, but also ANOTHER DLC!? Is Ark 2 just a side project, or what? No wonder there's another year delay. They're too busy repackaging their game to make more money. Just have everyone work on Ark 2! Wtf have they been doing for the past 2-3 years? Do they have a small team on a sequel? Also, the Stockholm Syndrome is real, within the community.
$50 for a update patch
$20 for a DLC people already own released at a later date
and
$20 more for those other DLCs people already own released at an even later date..
Shutting down all official servers of the game people already own to force them to buy the new one that is already gonna be on Game Pass..
This has got to be a sick joke otherwise enjoy the bankruptcy.
Having to buy Ark2 without some gameplay beforehand, doesn't feel right. Influencers defending this when the vast majority of the community sees it for what it is, kinda stings. This isn't good, I mean I'll buy it regardless lol, but this isn't good. It shows little regard for players on older platforms that won't be able to run this, and look at the economy. Things are only getting worse, I think a lot of players were looking forward to seeing their fav critters get a little graphic upgrade love, and now, well….

I wouldn't call ASA an entirely new game. It's literally the same code, same assets (updated art, meaning possibly textures), same mechanics over all. It's just the old UE 4.5 updated to 4.27 (switch port), and then update to 5.?? with quite a few QOL changes, and some of which are being taken from SoTF, and ARK 2 itself. I don't mind paying for the bundle, but the DLCs being $40 + whatever the new story map will be seems a bit excessive, and seems most won't be buying the DLC unless it's on sale. If the DLC maps had something special being added to them, sure, but as it stands the base game is actually what is being upgraded, and the rest is just getting UE5 visuals. The features just happen to carry over. Hopefully they make some things more transparent over time, but the silence is deafening.
