Seems like a copout to say that UE5 is the problem. The game has many glitches and mesh holes that have persisted since ASE. Nothing was really fixed in ASA. ASA will not succeed until it has all the dinos, and maps that ASE offers. ASA feels like a downgrade to ASE in gameplay, for the sake of visual upgrades. All they did was split the playerbase with the launch of ASA only dropping the first maps. And adding pay to win dinos and bobs tales only further split players trust in the company.
Ase was a great game but asa was a massive lie and scam, Why would people buy a game they have already bought with fewer dinos but really nice flowers?.
I would never waste my money on asa and by the time ark 2 comes out if it ever dose i think ark is finished for me.

It feels like I’ve played ark for about 4 billion years on my ownll
so this news does suck alot, ASA is not going to reach ASE levels I dont think and I really feel like its because they split their player base, while noone with a perfectly good ps4 is running out to get a ps5. I say console because were the ones late to the party, however not all ark players that where playing ASE are able to jus run out and grab a ps5 and the NEW ASA like come on wtf! thats where I feel they dropped the ball, they should have dropped all maps and new dinos, then dropped the Bobs Tale stuff for extra content if wanted, then introduce the pyromanes. PLEASE DO NOT LET ARK DIE lol…And it is a GOLD MINE.
ASA is the tentpole franchise(i.e. avengers films in MCU) it does make sense that the success of ASA would make or break Ark 2. And Ark hasnt exactly been suffering financially between mobile ,ASA , premium mods,the animated show and microtransactions… Just my opinion. Honestly id believe the devs before anyone from snail
Close ark ase completely don’t allow use of online only offline. They will lose a chunk of angry mob but taking away the choice people will still choose to play ark

Me and my friends personally do not care for ark 2 at all, we've played ASE on and off on PlayStation for years and i love mod support for ASA on console but we are on PC now as well but i still rather have Ark 2 be ditched in the dust or put on the shelves for wildcard to double down on fixing what ASA is missing, plus to my knowledge Ark 2 isn't planned to launch on PlayStation so with the negativity on ASA current state, how many people are truly wanting Ark 2 when you factor the PlayStation players out of that equation. Just double down on ASA and rev up that focus to get all the missing content into the game and snailgames need to fully support ASA at this rate though i don't know what other games snail games has published but i only care for ark so yeah just get the game where it needs to be and listen to your players for god sakes and give more feedback on how things are internally cause at this rate we might at well watch it all die both snailgames and wildcard.
I think the UE5 tech is to heavy for most hardware currently. My 3080 struggles running ASA, so unless you have a beast with a 4090 you wont be running ASA to its full extend, let alone Ark2 when it will be even more resource heavy. The comment on mass market adaptation reflects the current hardware pool players have. Waiting for users to catch up and upgrade their gear during the next few months/years is whats needed to launch the game properly. If people still are running on old tech in a year or so then nobody can play the game and Ark2 is doomed from the start.
15 min video translation, more people need to upgrade to a newer pc or console to play ue5 games before wildcard releases ark 2. its not surprising. the same situation is going to happen with a lot of games, like gta6. this is the 4th time this has happen in my life. from a business point of view why would they spend millions of dollars on a game when 49 million players are still using ps4.

I can't play asa so I play ase, idk how they expect us to play that mess on console. It's beautiful if you're on PC and can see loot beams for the last 6 months.
What about the money from ase? Where did that go? Nooblets sais snails wasted it all on a failed electric car release, rather than spend it on the game development.
I think all ark fans can comfortably give up ark for monster hunter wilds.

UE5 tech itself is hard to run but when you combine that with ark's bad optimization, huge worlds with lot of buildings and dinos you get game what basically needs rtx 4070 or rx 7700 xt for good experience
Not everyone has a $5k computer to play asa… i would love to just go back to ase if there is new content!
It’s crazy that my whole tribe pretty much quit after the disastrous launch and since then it’s been constantly bad news or updates from SG. A shame my favorite game just failed miserably….
