hmm.. some tek was great like the cyropods and fridges for dino's.. other parts of it was nah, we wont use that at all
Tek is needed for PvP
The official servers are bugged lagged and fucked up.maybe thats why..
If they improve the servers it woud be great.
But for me i am done whit official servers, done whit alarm clocks for imprinting a giga for two weeks …
They need to improve their servers!
But this is i deed a good survival game!
I do hope they have tech that's temporary on a fight, like the mech, so it feels like we found older technology that's stops working when we finish our fight
if there is a natural alternative to say, a cryopod or just have slate (regrowing structure tier) as our endgame, that would be neat
also there are people who want Tek because that is what ARK setting apart from other survival game that involved dinosaurs or any dinosaur related game, and there are PVP players who need Tek to give advantage over other players
if we really want to get rid of Tek, give us all the QoL stuff like Cryos, Dedis, Tek Gens, etc
Think the only things I really like from the tek stuff are the cryopods/fridge, the generator and the incubator (if that’s considered tek). The tek bow is kinda nice too. I really don’t use much else. I’ll be happy to see a more primitive ark in Ark 2
glad to hear! i never really found people to play the game. so i couldt go tek even if i wanted to and i dont think its worth the grind solo..
Also totally forgot the Tek ATV was even a thing 😂

No tek? Good riddance, it always spoiled the experience imo.
That's great news, couldn't stand starting with the suit in Gen2 that cheapened it. Do like cryopods, hoverboard and bow but that's about it. Primitive is the way.

I hated tek it ruined the feel of Ark being a primitive Dinosaur game
I don't use a lot of Tek stuff. I don't find most of the Tek items worth the grind to get them. I do love the door's and gate's that open as you approach.
IMO Ark 1 lost it's way with the introduction of the missions in Genesis part 1 and 2. This is a survival and exploration game. It's not Mario Party. I'm really worried that progression in Ark 2 will be limited by Vin Diesel story missions.
Edit. Are cryo pods and the cryo fridge considered Tek tier? If they are we need those in Ark 2. Base's full of hundreds of dinosaurs are terrible for a server.
I like the tek look but it’s like playing on easy mode. They should make a separate game that is all tek based.
In trailer he shutdowns the tek and bids it a farewell..so ya not new news but the question is will it be more primitive with plus items added in…thats all we could hope for

Me and all my friends started playing less as more tek and advanced blueprints being added. We felt that it took away from what Ark was when it launched. We decided to play on primitive servers but eventually just quit
I basically use my tek only for building my bases. I try to use my dinos and the terrain for all other activities.
I honestly hope they keep guns like assault rifles shotguns and you know electric advancement it'll be pretty boring if everybody's just running around with slingshots I personally enjoyed tech but I see why a lot of people don't like it
I haven’t had high hopes for wildcard for awhile now, but Unreal engine 5 might be a game changer for them so much more optimized. Arks biggest problem is game crashes and bugs they fix that the game will be bit
This should take what was good from Atlas and pixark such as more detailed upgrading and a lot of the decorations and boat upgraded and whatnot from Atlas tech was good for certain situations such as no fall damage and seeing people who tries to go out of that but regardless player was good enough they can still shut down that player in primitive gear
I recon they did this souly to make people sick of ark 1 so they would be more excluded to move onto ark 2 😅
i dont like tek and i hate the ridiculously high level dinos.
when the game 1st came out max wild dino level was 30 and it was better that way.
60 wasnt too bad but past that was just stupid
Most people write off the Tek Canteen because they don't realize you can switch it from cold to hot by pressing X if your on Xbox. Idk about for PC or PS4 but most the old school players I met didn't know that until this last month. That made it way more valuable in certain places that change to hot and cold quickly. I carry a cold and a hot one just in case. Saved the group so many times over.
