Course there's dlc planned
If Ark 2 is still happening, that's terrible news. It's a proven fact that Wild Card can't even handle the development of 1 game, no way they can manage two.
Lol I refuse to buy ASA bc 1. It doesn’t have all the content OG Ark has yet and when they do add it they have the audacity to charge even more for expanded dlc for already existing dlcs 2. ASA is a buggy mess and it shouldn’t be full price when it’s basically another early access piece of garbage, I’ll check back in 2 years when the games finished and wait for it to go on sale if I ever touch these scummy devs broken game!
I mean, I'm not trying to defend bad business practices but the added dlc packs are optional, not mandatory and I keep seeing people constantly say full price when it's not. Full price is 70$, yall act like they pulled a CoD MW3 lol
So far I'm on the "doubtful" side of purchasing ARK 2. With as many changes they are going to make to the basis of the game seems like they are trying to bring in a whole new group of players. As long as ASA is getting serious attention to make it as great as we know it could be, I'll be happy sticking with it.

I don't see ark 2 to arriving on time for current gen consoles it will most likely get push back for unreal engine 6! For next Gen! Consoles!
The reason ark sold 50% dlc is because its not like other games. You HAVE to buy the dlc to compete which is pay to win. Cause on pvp without the dlc your at a major disadvantage

I don’t care about ARK 2 because I play on console and they have not yet committed to console. I wasn’t keen on the gameplay differences either.
They can say goodbye to that 58% paid dlc conversion rate if they go ahead with releasing the adventure packs.

While having to click an extra box is a slight annoyance its hardly something to get bent out of shape about.
Ark 2 needs to not happen. Only thing that'll cause is we'll get to mediocre games asa and ark2 instead of one decent one. They need to focus on one or the other or the whole ip is doomed.
