  7. My only ideas are a breeding plant that releases pheromone like spores that speeds up breeding, or a plant that instead of shooting spores it spreads the spores in an area of effect around it.

What if the plant was one that you can harvest something like tranq bombs that on impact with a creature it releases an area of effect tranquilizing smoke cloud that lasts a few seconds and does a 5% torpor increase per second. So say the smoke lasts 5 seconds and the creature that you're targeting has around 2,500 torpor giving you 25 torpor per bomb meaning you need 100 bombs total to tranqu out the creature. My math might be a little off but you get the idea
