Do they have a brand new vision for Ark 2, or is it just an 1:1 upgrade?

  1. I enjoyed the video very much! was worth the wait
I recently started playing ARK with some friends of mine and I can already see some of the flaws. I think 3rd person view will do a lot for the game personally. I find many of the controls and way they are arranged are unintuitive and a bit dysfunctional at times
I'm curious to see what the sequel has to offer. I also like the title, "Survival of the Fittest"

  2. Ark is by far the most complete game on the market. 1000s of hrs game play, constant new dlc, the amount of beasts/animals and the building is all very complexe and worth the effort to learn. PVE is the way forward. I'm really excited about this. Its about time as no game has any appeal for a long time!

  3. I have mixed feeling about a third person camera. It opens up a lot of movement opportunities, true, but when I think ARK I think of a 1st person survival game. ARK with a 3rd person perspective just feels wrong. (Outside of riding mounts, obviously)

  4. Not a bad video.
Just a few issues in 7:08 that highlight the fact that an average of 0.3% of players daily.
As minute as it sounds, it excludes two major things:
    1. 0.3% daily does not mean only 0.3% of ARK's player base play ARK; Your statement of "That's an insane amount of lost players" at least alludes to this.
    – This forgets that we have no idea who actually plays and how many unique players ARK gets daily

    2. My second point is that you refer to "0.3%" as a very small and measly number, when in reality it's pretty big- or at least, average.
Why? Take a look at a lot of modern "Active" (non-dead) games. For example, RUST, with an average amount of 80k players and approximately 25 million owners… means RUST only has 0.32% of its players playing daily on average
Another game? Elden Ring, with an approximate 56k avg and around 23 million owners comes in at around 0.224% of its player base playing daily
Smaller games? Let's look at The Isle. With an avg amount of 3.5k and approximately 850,000 owners = Meaning 0.4% of its player base playing daily
One more! Sea of Thieves with roughly 30k avg players and 5 million steam owners = 0.6% of its player base playing daily

I understand the majority of the video is good. You definitely spent a lot of time working on this video.
I'm just a minor nitpick. Very minor.
