  1. got to remeber were talking about a company who has never in its history ever released a dlc or major update at any date they haver specified, the same company that managed to remove from every internet repo the sales page for the first dlc where it stated if you bought the dlc you had access to all other future dlc for no charge

  2. They've consistently been abysmal at keeping deadlines, since day 1. We've been around the whole time, we know that.

The pandemic slowed most companies down, upgrading to Unreal 5 slows them down even more.

They were also aiming bigger than anything they've done before, meaning unexpected issues hurdles to overcome. There was never any chance it would be "on time" I don't think they're lying, they're not not anywhere near as ready as they thought they'd be, as per usual.

  3. I certainly hope not – but you do present good evidence. They have been crazy radio silent for a game that's supposed to release even in the next year. I was hoping they were just holding off a bit to drum up hype, but "it's quiet… too quiet"

  4. I think it will be delayed 2 years tops likely if they need more time 3 years. Beside Id go back with others games including Ark currently and other games like Fall Guys or previous 360 xbox games with my new console or if have games on PC.

  5. Conceptually Speaking I think your Spot on Steve🙂 👍
I will bet you a Dollar that Unreal Engine 6 is released before they get ARK2 done and May very well be the Fly 🪰in the Ointment..
If 3rd Player is going to be the Only Option they can take just as long as they like In My Opinion because i'm about 80% sure I won't be buying something I won't Like Playing..No matter how good it looks
If it ends up being some sort of Interactive Movie style game play take that to 100% I will not be buying it..
If these Devs are getting paid by the hour they must have eaten all of the profits from Ark1 and then some, Like Millions of Some more.
So is Reselling us ARK1 with the Unreal Engine 5 a last Ditch attempt to not going Bankrupt on a game long, long, long over due??🤔💲💵💲

  6. Im honestly fine with them remaking Ark 1 in UE5 than having Ark 2. Ark 1 is almost perfect in terms of game design and content, the Ark 2 changes didn't tickle my fancy at all. Not a fan of souls-like gameplay.

  7. as long as ark 2 works well when it does come out, i'm not too concerned about how long that takes. a bit more transparency would be appreciated if the delay is going to be 1 year+ though

  8. Not holding my breath on Ark 2. I don't get why they are attempting to reinvent the wheel so to speak, and not just make 2 an upgraded "sequel" to the original. I just hope they can make a quality ue5 re-release that actually runs well and doesn't repeated attempt to brick my pc because of how poorly it's optimized and buggy it is. And for the love of god, bring back a working version of primitive+.

  9. Was obvious this was the case when that company released the images of the 3D modelling they had recently started doing for WildCard. If that wasn't a sign that it was gonna take more years, dunno what would have been a sign for you.

  10. Isn’t gonna really bother me. I really love Ark 1 and am starting to get back into it. if they take time to optimize it better on UE5 then i’m all for it too
