  1. Great Work! And I think many people missunderstand what an engine is… an engine does not make a good game, the developers can make a good game. Unreal Engine 5 has great features and providers templates and the cornerstone but changes nearly nothing in a game. The changes can be made by the developers, but to get a better quality they have to update the models, Lighting and texture manually…the only thing ist that UE5 can provide better performance and with this performance boost the developers are able to aim better graphics!

  2. So sad that many of us wont have an Rtx 4080 to run it. I think that when the update arrive the majority of people will have severe performance issues. Even if it doesnt look good like this. I hope to be wrong tho…

  3. Anyone whose ever played Ark 1 knows that anything is better than what is currently used. The fact that his rex didn't glitch into the cliff and start walking down the other side is much better than the current engine.

  4. this does not represent ue5.1 capabilities. for example and the most important feature is extreme view distance stand still details but this demo is very cheap about graphics.

  5. This is nice and all but what I REALLY need from UE5 Ark 1 is for them to fix light bleed and shadows on player structures. I hate putting lights in my house and watching it shine straight through the walls. Fixing the staggered pop in would be nice too.
