Used the pre-TLC raptor I believe, but the same notes all still stand, and whilst the post-TLC version definitely has better feathers the coverage is the same.

i really like arks way of designing dinosaurs. its not shrinkwrappd designs loosly based off of 80s reconstructions with the coolest name slapped on (except like utahraptor and a few others), theyre really just monterified modern dinosaurs. ark 2 doing this now seems really cool to me. its not my kind of game and i will likely never play either of the arks, but the dinosaurs are still amazing in this new game

ARK 2 is looking like it will have a lot of good examples for how "alien world dinosaurs" really should look, which is quite funny considering ARK 1, especially in the earlier designs, was a really good example for what not to do. I like how Anky and Stego play around with features the ARK 1 designs had, especially, despite being quite the accuraccy nut usually.
Retroactively helps those designs somewhat, tho, since they by contrast kinda have a deal of "pop culture dinosaur evolves to a less conventional but more scientifically sound version" going on, similar to JP3s dealio. Helps that with the ARK dinosaurs, their new designs do also feel like the old designs adapted better to surviving, well, anywhere really.

I would love to see you go back and play ark survival evolved. Since you’ve touched the game so much new content has been added. No game on the market has this many species to it’s name with this kind of popularity. I’m very grateful for what ark has done bringing dinosaurs into the mainstream of gaming and I’d love to see you participate in that and grow your channel with it. Great video! But I am confused a bit, how can you compare in-game ARK models with ARK 2 concept art?.. The ARK 2 dinosaurs shown are all concept art, correct? Concept art and trailers usually have exaggerated features and often don't represent the in-game models. Concept art isn't supposed to be taken literally. Again, love your content. Just don't understand what you're doing in this video.

Those spikes on the ankys back will be characters hand grips, and the saddle will sit farther back on the hinde legs
May not be 100% accurate, but I like the Ark II Utahraptor better than the Jurassic World Dominion Pyroraptor.
My favorite glowup has got to be the Pterodactyl, while yes we haven’t seen a close up yet. It’s still such a beautiful design especially the monarch butterfly like wings.
