When they said souls like combat i pissed my pants because i beat every single souls game just to realize another game I love has a aspect i love i just hope they dont fuck it up

I think they've made to many changes to the original concept dose'nt even sound like ark anymore, 3rd person parkour isn't ark and I think this is going to be a shit show
wait, is Ark 2 really going to be third person only ? If that's the case i won't buy it. 3rd person for a survival game is really weird to me. A singleplayer game like tomb raider games, uncharted,… is fine but not survival games. I really hope they go back on that and have first and third person.

I am interested in seeing what taming will be like. One of my favorite parts of Ark was getting to hoard creatures. Very excited for the show and to hear the notes too! Although I think Helena in the Survival Stories/Dossiers will always be the voice in my head for Helena.
My expectations are sky high coz im disappointed with what they promised with ark 2
I don’t see the big deal with it being third person. Not really sure why some people are upset about it. Ark 1 has a lot of switching back and forth between first and third person.

Super interesting that they talk about "building trust" with Dino's rather than taming. Also the comment about wrangling a giga. Reckon taming will be more of an actual encounter involving various mechanics and animations where you have to prove your superiority in some way or build trust somehow? Could be very cool 👍
We need first person view too, let us choose like in ARK 1 (for me FPP on foot and TPP on dinos).

I love ARK but they will kill ark with the new ARK 2 mechanics! Ark is unique because is open all the way out, no restrictions. These claims from devs make it completely different from what ark is!

Sounds like they’re actually rippin off conan exiles with traversal and combat … i just hooe thats not the case and if they do they better get it right and the combat needs to be better … honestly tho ive played ALOT of both and wanted a mixture of both conan absolutley got the pve-c right wich allows pvp during evening hours were the server is but no base destruction wich is a blessing for those of us that solo play

what if I DON'T want to play as Santiago? i'd rather play as a character i create. otherwise it's gonna be really weird seeing multiple Santi's everywhere…
Also the ranged gamplay and BUILDING might be very hard to do 3rd person. hopefully mods fix all the stuff.

I noticed they said nothing about single player. There are a lot of us on YouTube and in game that love and exclusively play ARK in single player. I for one don't care for MMO games and I love ARK 1 soooo…
it doesn't take a lot of intelligence to understand that the third person depends on the combat system.
First Person = shit technic melee combat ( roll, evade, ecc…).
Can you play Monster Hunter in first person ? NO A soul like game ? NO

Let’s be real… this sounds scary tbh.. sounds like a different game and I’m not down for that. Ark 1 was fun but had a lot of issues especially on console… all I want was an upgraded next gen Ark 1 with some new features… changing to many things in my opinion.. we will see though

Hey man for ark I try to just run a dedicated server put every time I hit accept to make it it turns my ark into a blacks screen with some coding
If I can MAKE custom gear, that alone is a good start. Wildcard do not disappoint.
That advanced building reminded me of the way you build in Grounded.

I am very excited for this game, Ark 1 was very fun for me and I’m sure I’ll enjoy Ark 2 as well even if they mess some things up.
