Ark II was a half hour live-action sci-fi tv series produced Filmation that premiered on September 11, 1976. The series was aimed at children and was part of Filmation’s Saturday Morning live-action children’s block on the CBS network. The block included Shazam and The Secrets of Isis. The series follows the adventures of three young scientists and a talking chimpanzee named Adam, who travel through a post-apocalyptic landscape in a highly advanced mobile laboratory. Along the way they try to teach valuable life lessons to the people they encounter. The series ran for only 15 episodes.
This video, although perfectly suitable for children, is not intended for current children. It is meant for adults who were children when the television show originated. My intent is to preserve or refresh the memories of childhoods from the past and offer some enjoyable nostalgia.
